Are you struggling with remembering what you learned two months ago or even last week? I am. So I decided to write my own English learning journal to describe the lessons that I'm impressed by.
Now, I'm going to tell you about what I learnt, how I felt, and what lessons dawn on me during my first three days. Are you curious? Let's see what I have.
DAY 1

Last month, I had a listening test. The teacher gave us a 20-minute listening quiz consisting of 16 questions. At that time, I felt so nervous that I was in a dither about the correct answers. The speakers spoke so fast, and the key points were full of new vocabularies and idioms, so I couldn’t make out what they were saying. As a result, I got a bad mark and I was really sad about it. Therefore, I’m learning some useful listening tips like taking note and learning vocabulary by topic everyday. This can help me master more new words and catch the key points. Also, I should take more listening
tests to see whether I’m in the right way.
DAY 2

Two weeks ago, I had to present my reading challenge. The teacher divided our class into 6 groups, then each group made a video to present the story “The story of a seagull and the cat who taught her to fly”. We had a week to prepare for this and submitted it the following week. During that time, I was full of beans. I was always punctual and enthusiastic to give ideas when our group had a meeting.
I think this activity is wonderful because I can know more about my new friends. After this activity, I will read more books and present them to my friends, so they can understand the content of the stories and we can spend more time together.
DAY 3

Last Monday, I learned how to use note-taking skills. The teacher said that these techniques were often used in both listening and reading task. I find out that these skills are very effective because I have neither known nor used them before. After the lesson, I did some listening exercises and these note-taking skills brought good results to me. Therefore, I will try to use them whenever I have listening tests and practice more so that I can make full use of them.
I'll keep on writing my learning journal, and reflect what I learned so that I can improve my learning skills everyday.
Thank you for spending your precious time reading this !
